Am 31. Januar 2019 fand die öffentliche Sitzung der nordrhein-westfälischen Landesfachkommission “Internet und Digitale Wirtschaft” des Wirtschaftsrats NRW statt, bei der Univ.-Professor Ulrich Trottenberg auf unsere Vermittlung den Hauptvortrag des Abends zum Kernthema:

The power of algorithms
On January 31, the public meeting of the North Rhine-Westphalian state expert commission “Internet and Digital Economy” of the NRW Economic Council took place at the Hotel Pullman in Cologne. Upon our mediation, Professor emeritus Ulrich Trottenberg gave the main lecture of the evening on the core topic: “The Power of Algorithms”.

“The panel of experts and Prof. Dr. Trottenberg were in agreement above all that genuine digital education was necessary: “Basic digital knowledge, such as 0/1 coding and elementary shuttering, programming, and an algorithmic understanding must be part of the entire education chain if we do not want to miss the boat,” emphasized the algorithm expert. In the same tenor, the expert commission chairman Bisa stated: “What is missing is digital education with the goal of training the sovereign-minded media citizen.”
