Algorithm Academy
Algorithms form the core of everything digital: the entire digital development and transformation is controlled by algorithms. Therefore, in many areas of industry & economy as well as in public institutions a considerable demand for algorithmic education and training has arisen.
Together with our partners, we offer digital training and further education courses, especially for companies (SME, large enterprises) and public institutions. The focus of the training is on traditional and current algorithms, especially in the areas of mathematical modeling and optimization, numerics, statistics, cryptography, visualization, big data analysis, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI).
Currently, there is a particularly intensive interest in artificial intelligence algorithms in business and the media, e.g. especially in support vector machines (SVM), neural networks (NN), deep learning, classification and regression.
The problem-solving Algorithm
Nobel Prize-winning physicist, Murray Gell-Mann, about Richard Feynman‘s problem-solving ability:
1. Write down the problem.
2. THINK very hard.
3. Write down the answer.
The courses are aimed at
- Interested parties (e.g. managers, executives, decision makers) who want to gain a qualified impression of the algorithmic contents in order to realistically assess their potentials, opportunities and risks,
- future developers, engineers and experts who want to acquire detailed algorithmic knowledge.
Accompanying programming courses using open source languages and tools (e.g. Python, Jupyter) are also offered for this group.
Basically, we distinguish between
- Algorithmic understanding,
- Algorithmic thinking,
- Algorithmic practice.
In “Algorithmic Understanding” we impart basic knowledge of the mathematical / informatic principles of selected traditional and current algorithms.
“Algorithmic thinking” deals with the basic internal structures of algorithms such as recursion, iteration, branching, termination, data structures etc. and the principles of structured thinking.
“Algorithmic Practice” deals with the programming of algorithms including the use of systematic test procedures as well as the controlled application of the algorithms.
´Algorithms are the core topic of digital education and digital transformation. Digital education means a sound understanding for problem-solution oriented thinking and practice-oriented application of algorithms. “Algorithmic Thinking” stands for the use of algorithmic principles and techniques to design problem solutions.´
Together with our partners, we offer intensive face-to-face events on the above-mentioned topics. In the future, we want to convey selected algorithms within the framework of online training courses on modern digital e-learning platforms.
“We are looking for cooperation partners for a pilot project on self-determined digital e-learning as a training approach for public institutions, large companies and SMEs.”
