Python-Community trifft sich in Köln
Vom 29.-30.03.2014 fand das fünfte PythonCamp in Köln bei der GFU Cyrus AG statt. An der Barcamp-Veranstaltung nahmen über 80 Pythonista teil, u.a. Software-Entwickler, Projektleiter und Python-Begeisterte aus Schulen & Universitäten, aus Unternehmen (selbständige Freelancer und Angestellte), sowie Privatanwender aus dem Hobby-Bereich. Das Alter der Teilnehmer reichte von 14 bis 83 Jahre.
Venue
Organisiert wurde die Veranstaltung erneut von der PyCologne User Group und dem Python Software Verband e.V. auf ehrenamtlicher Basis. Dank des Kooperationspartners GFU Cyrus AG konnten erneut erstklassige Räume und Infrastruktur genutzt werden.
Das PythonCamp 2014 war ein voller Erfolg: Herzlichen Dank an die zahlreichen Sponsoren, den Gastgeber GFU und natürlich allen Teilnehmenden und freiwilligen Helfern, die mit vielen interessanten Sessions und spannenden Diskussionen diesen Event wieder zu einer Bereicherung der bundesweiten Python-Community gemacht haben.

Wettbewerb für Mädchen & Jungen ab 13 Jahren: 3D-Objekte mit Python steuern & bewegen. Der Schülerwettbewerb des Python Software Verbandes regt dazu an, “Lieber einfach als kompliziert …” Programme mit Python zu entwickeln. Weitere Infos unter: pymove3D

Python community meets in Cologne
From March 29-30, 2014, the 5th PythonCamp took place in Cologne at GFU Cyrus AG. The barcamp event was attended by over 80 Pythonista, including software developers, project managers and Python enthusiasts from schools & universities, from companies (self-employed freelancers and employees), as well as private users from the hobbyist sector. The age of the participants ranged from 14 to 83 years.
Venue
The event was again organized by the PyCologne User Group and the Python Software Verband e.V. on a voluntary basis. Thanks to the cooperation partner GFU Cyrus AG, first-class rooms and infrastructure could be used again.
The PythonCamp 2014 was a complete success: Many thanks to the numerous sponsors, the host GFU and of course to all participants and volunteers who made this event again an enrichment of the nationwide Python community with many interesting sessions and exciting discussions.
Python for kids
Contest for girls & boys from 13 years: Control & move 3D objects with Python. The Python Software Association’s student competition encourages “Better simple than complicated …” to develop programs with Python. More info at: pymove3D
