Integration through Sport & Education
Project start
In the beginning of the joint project of the AWO Kreisverband Bonn/Rhein-Sieg e.V. and the Olympic Taekwondo Club Bonn e.V. (OTC-Bonn) the financing was not on a solid basis and was therefore not secured in the long term. Due to repeatedly financing bottlenecks, TF Consulting got involved to secure the financing of the project. Over the years, we were able to find not only supportive friends, but also well-meaning promoters and potential sponsors, who became enthusiastic about our project idea.
Why do we support young people?
In addition to the performance-oriented Taekwondo sport, the OTC-Bonn, in cooperation with the AWO, has set itself the goal of supporting children and young people as early as possible on their “path in life”. Within the framework of these measures, children and young people – the PowerKIDS – are taught various school subjects, including STEM and various languages and methods of learning, but also supported in the search and placement of internships, as well as later vocational training and during their studies.
“Do not educate your children to be rich. Educate them to be happy, so when they grow up, they’ll know the value of things, not just the price.” ~ unknown
Shared values and experiencing them together
Our integration work goes beyond simply accompanying the target groups through sports. Performance and success are only possible in the long term through sustained commitment. We live a strong community in the OTC Bonn association.
Sports and homework supervision
Only thanks to the promotional interest and the massive funding from Rotary Club Bonn, this exemplary welfare project could be continued in this form.
“Education is not the learning of facts, but training the mind to think.” ~ Albert Einstein
Learning in the right and motivating environment
The location of the school training is the club hall of the OTC Bonn – in Korean called Dojang (도장) – and the attached social rooms in Bad Godesberg in the district Pennenfeld.
