The year 2025 in spotlights
The year is drawing to a close and it is time for us to look back with thankfulness and review the past year. 2025 was very eventful and we carried out numerous business, open source and social projects. We are delighted to have gained new clients and to be able to successfully support them as interim managers. Below you will find a brief overview of some of our highlights of the year.
Exchange with top academics
Together with Katharina Morik (Prof. Dr. at TU Dortmund, Speaker of SFB 876, co-founder of the Lamarr Institute) at one of the excellent Cologne AI ML meetups (CAIML), wich take place regularly at various companies in Cologne, where outstanding speakers provide insights into their current projects.
These meetups, which are well known and famous far beyond Cologne’s borders: great discussions about machine learning applications and their underlying mathematical algorithms and computer processes, here with Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ulrich Trottenberg (InterScience Akademie für Algorithmik) and Priv.-Doz. Dr. habil. Bernhard Thomas (im-pulse).
Algorithmic Thinking
“Algorithms are part of our everyday lives. An algorithm is nothing more than a precise, unambiguous set of instructions consisting of a finite number of individual steps for solving a problem. No smartphone, no technical device with controls, no computer can function without algorithms.
We associate three perspectives on algorithms with algorithmic thinking:
- Understanding – A general understanding of algorithms as basic knowledge
- Apply – Algorithms in the execution of a programming language
- Thinking – A form of thinking that drives the solution of problems in individual instructions for a course of action.
Without an understanding of these three perspectives, we create fear of algorithms; with an understanding of algorithmic thinking, we help shape the future.” ~ Algorithmic-Thinking.de
TF Consulting anniversary
In November, we successfully celebrated our 24th anniversary as TF Consulting with our stakeholders. Since 2001, we have been offering our clients specialized services tailored to their needs in various high-tech industries (DeepTech), including microtechnology, sensor and actuator technology (MEMS), mechanical and plant engineering, defence & law enforcement, and public ICT institutions.
Telekom anniversary
“It was wonderful to meet former colleagues again in person and talk about our long and fruitful collaboration. I have truly unforgettable and lasting memories of DT AG and Global One, and I learned valuable lessons. In summary, it can be noted that the assets of telcos is not CPE, routers, switches, DSL, MPLS, etc., but rather the people you have gotten to know and with whom you have worked so appreciatively.” ~ Dr. Thomas Fabula
Defence
Our long-standing commitment to the defence and security industry is based on the indispensable understanding that Europe, and Germany in particular, can only remain sovereign and capable of defending itself if we continue to invest heavily in defence innovation and the development of new products.
Engineering Multiphysics
Numerous contributions at the conference illustrated how AI algorithms can be used to effectively address the new complex challenges in product development. Cutting-edge technologies such as multiphysics, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), reduced order modeling (ROM), and digital twins can be examined and resolved in the PLM process with improved quality and significantly faster – in seconds instead of hours of simulation time.
World’s largest industrial fair
Several days at the Hannover Industrial Trade Fair allowed us to meet many of our clients & partners and engage in inspiring conversations. In particular, the exchange and encounters with many new discussion partners also deepened our understanding of the actual industry situation and new business opportunities. As every year, the local Rotary Clubs offered the opportunity for informal exchanges with Rotarians from all over Europe.
Embedded electronics
Over 32,000 visitors from 84 countries attended Embedded World and the parallel technology conference. We had the opportunity to meet with various experts, innovative vendors, and technology enthusiasts from around the world and discuss current topics such as edge AI, MEMS sensor technology, robotics, and real-time embedded computing in detail.
Cologne AI ML meetups
The Cologne AI ML Meetups (CAIML) have been taking place in Cologne for several years now, attracting large numbers of algorithm enthusiasts. Leading researchers and industry experts provide insights into their current work and, as is already the norm in open source communities, openly contribute their ideas and insights to the sharing of knowledge. After the speakers’ presentations, the networking session is always a special highlight, offering excellent opportunities to make valuable contacts.
